Hey y’all, Hope you’re having a good week! There’s a lot to look forward to this weekend. Art and community events are leading the lineup, with several Second Saturday art showings, plus wellness events like community yoga and run clubs if you’re looking to start the day outside. At night, a few new series are popping up while some familiar favorites are making their return.

It’s also a big cultural weekend. The Irish Channel Parade rolls on Saturday, which is always a good time if you’re in the neighborhood. And on Sunday, Uptown Super Sunday takes over around A.L. Davis Park. If you’ve never been, it’s a great introduction to the second line culture, with music, Mardi Gras Indians, and a festival-style atmosphere!

If you’re looking for something to get into this Friday, March 13th, check out Beats & Games with DJ Rell at Emporium Arcade Bar!

This series is perfect if you’re in the mood for something laid-back. Think good music, arcade games, and a little friendly competition with Uno, Spades, checkers, pool, and more. If you enjoy a chill dive-bar vibe and a casual night out with friends, this is definitely one to add to the calendar.

DJ Rell hosts this event monthly, making it a great go-to if you’re looking for something low-key but still fun.
